Little Paper Rose 2012 Overview

The last few months work has been overwhelming for me; I wouldn't know where to begin with that but what I do know is that I miss reading and discovering awesome books. Finding the time as much as being in the right state of mind to being able to sit down and focus on a book hasn't been doable and I hope to change that.

I was greatly satisfied with the amount of reading I managed to do through 2012 (considering and compared to prior years of my life) and I would've kept on in the same pace if that'd been an option; however I did come across a few books I really loved.

Everneath (#1) by Brodi Ashton
(Beautifully original, took me by total surprise)
Sweet Evil (#1) by Wendy Higgins
(Could very possibly be my favorite of the favorites)
Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
(Had me mesmerized; fantastically thought-provocative)
Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally
(Outside-the-box, unexpected YA romantic read)
Shatter Me (#1) - Tahereh Mafi
(Blew my mind despite all odds)

Books that were read but never reviewed due to 1) excessive time passed between finishing the book and getting around to review it, or 2) lack of thoughts or opinions:
'Fixing Delilah' by Sarah Ockler (a so-so read, unfortunately did not grab my attention)
'Firelight' by Sophie Jordan (all-around okay read)
'Pyxis' by K.C Neal (wasn't into it and had very little to say)

Left unfinished:
'Hush Hush' by Becca Fitzpatrick - hope to pick it up someday again.

I will be back. Oh, yes, I will! I just wanted to thank you authors who have kept getting in touch with me regarding book reviews and such (many apologies if I haven't been able to get back to you), and finally thanks to YOU for reading this and/or reading my reviews.
